Song Dong was born in 1966 in Beijing. Through performance, photography, video and installations he explores ideas of transience, perception and the epheremal nature of existence. Song Dong has exhibited extensively throughout the world. His recent solo exhibitions and performances include: Water Works at the Chinese Arts Center in Manchester, Waste Not, curated by Wu Hong, in Beijing, The 59th Minute at Time Square, New York and Eating the City at Selfridges in London. Song Dong lives and works in Beijing.
